一、考查目标
基础英语考试适用于英语语言文学和外国语言学及应用语言学方向的考生。旨在考察考生是否具备攻读英语语言文学硕士研究生的英语水平，测试考生对英语语言知识的掌握情况及英语的综合运用能力。
二、考试形式与试卷结构
（一）试卷成绩及考试时间
本试卷满分为150分，考试时间为180分钟。
（二）答题方式
答题方式为闭卷、笔试。
（三）试卷内容结构
各部分内容所占分值为：
《高级英语》第一册占比总分的50%左右；
《高级英语》第二册占比总分的50%左右。
（四）试卷题型结构
试卷题型包括英语阅读理解题、英语应用文写作题、英汉互译题、英语作文题等。
三、考查范围
高级英语
(ADVANCED ENGLISH)
（注：以“*”表示命题热度，分三个等级，“*”越多表示往年命题热度越高）
考查目标
1. 考查考生对英语专业应掌握的语法知识和大纲词汇的掌握情况。
2. 考查考生的阅读理解能力，考生能够正确理解各种题材如文学传记类、商业经济类、教育文化类、科普科研类和社会生活类等文章，并对其进行正确的阅读分析、推断。
3. 考查考生的写作能力，根据要求在限定时间内完成不低于规定字数的、符合文体要求的两篇完整的文章。
